Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison, with her family at her side; at the age of 64 years.

The daughter of the late Erwin and Donna (Webster) VanBocxlear, Karen was born on February 20, 1958, in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Swan Valley High School with the class of 1976. Karen married the love of her life, Christopher “Chris’ Enriquez on September 22, 1984; he survives her. She was a server at Applebee’s Bar & Grill, State Street, for 20 years of loyal and dedicated service. Many of her coworkers admired her as a compassionate and strong mother figure. Karen enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and sitting on her back porch during the beautiful summer nights. She will fondly be remembered for being caring, kindhearted, and helpful to many. Above all, Karen cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones.

Surviving besides her husband: Christopher “Chris” Enriquez; their daughter: Christine Enriquez; sister: Linda (Dan) Schrems; brother: Steve (Mary Jo) VanBoxclear; father and mother-in-law: Louis and Maria Enriquez. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Besides her parents; Karen was preceded in death by her sister: Patricia (George) Enriquez.

Funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48609. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit the family from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
