Karen R. Selk, age 76, of Saginaw, joined her Savior Jesus Christ in HIS heavenly home on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Karen was born on January 1, 1944 in Saginaw to Ronald H. Whiteherse Sr. and Lois L. Whiteherse. She is survived by her only brother Ronald H. Whiteherse Jr. (Janice). On July 27, 1963 she married the love of her life Ronald F. Selk of Oscoda. They were married 40 years until his death in 2003.
Together they had two sons: Jeffery R. Selk (Cherrie), 54 and Michael W. Selk (Cortney,) 44 and seven Grandchildren: Alivia Selk-25, Nolan Selk-21, Ellory Selk-19, Chandler Selk-16, Peyton Selk-16, Trevor Selk-13, Devin Selk-10.
Karen spent her life loving, nurturing, and caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and her pets. She was a selfless person who was always giving to others. Most importantly she was a devoted servant to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Karen and her husband were members of our Saviour Lutheran Church in Saginaw.
Visitation for friends and neighbors will be held on Friday, October 23 from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM at W.L. Case & Co. located on Mackinaw Rd. in Saginaw. A family funeral service will be held following the visitation at 1:30PM. Pastor Rob Schmidt will be officiating. A private burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
