Beloved mother, grandmother “Gaga”, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the age of 62 years. Kathleen was born on January 8, 1958 in Saginaw to Charles and Esther (Kollman) Ricklefs. She was a graduate of Saginaw High, class of 1976 and later attended Delta College.
Kathleen dedicated her life to the service of other people by loyally serving customers as a cashier at Meijer on Tittabawassee Road. She had a love for watching TV, playing candy crush, traveling and taking her family out for nice dinners. Kathleen highly enjoyed roller coasters on her annual trip to Cedar Point. She was also a fabulous baker, her most famous dishes include banana bread and cinnamon rolls. Above all else, she cherished her time spent with her family.
Kathleen is survived by her children: Sarah (Dan) Kochenderfer, Jason (Marie Pouillon) Mitchell; her grandchildren Ella, Abbigayle and Grace Kochenderfer and her mother Esther (Albert) Boilore. Her siblings Charles (Lori) Ricklefs Junior and Diane (Edward) Meyer also survive her. Also left to cherish her memory are her dearest friends, the Goss Family and the Smith Family.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles Ricklefs Senior in 2003 and her brother George “Jerry” Ricklefs in 2011.
A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2020 at W.L. Case and Company (4480 Mackinaw Road). Pastor Brenda Nolish will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Briley Township Cemetery, Atlanta, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials be made in care of the family.
