Kathy L. Woodcock of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at her home with her husband by her side. She was 71 years old. Kathy L. Snider was born on March 12, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Francis Leroy and Mary Lou “Elmore” Snider, Jr. She was a proud 1970 graduate of Columbia High School in Columbia, Illinois. Kathy married her high school sweetheart and “the love of her life”, William “Bill” Woodcock, on December 5, 1970, in Columbia, Illinois; he survives her. She and Bill made Saginaw, Michigan, their home in 1984. Kathy was employed as a secretary with the Saginaw Rescue Mission for 7 ½ years. She later worked for 17 years as a retail clerk with Clark Hardware on State Street. The role of Kathy’s lifetime was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Kathy held a special place in her heart for all people, and was always optimistic. Kathy enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She could often be seen on the sidelines cheering them on at their hockey, soccer, baseball, and football games. An excellent cook, Kathy knew the secret ingredient to making all things taste great was “love”. She will forever be remembered for being a kind, loving, and caring soul, a woman who could hold a conversation with anyone, and for the love she had for animals, especially dogs.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Bill Woodcock of Saginaw, Michigan; three sons: Christopher (Nikki) Woodcock of Stoughton, WI; Stephen (Victoria) Woodcock of Bridgeport; Timothy (RaeAnn) Woodcock of Freeland; seven grandchildren: Lon, Liam, and Zoe Tremain-Woodcock of Stoughton, WI; Andrew and Adam Woodcock of Bridgeport; Jonah and Cora Woodcock of Freeland; sister, Kay (Norman) Jones of Newport, OR; brother, Francis (Colleen) Leroy Snider III. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sadie Woodcock and parents, Francis and Mary Snider Jr.
