York, Kay Ann Hemlock, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at home at the age of 72 years, with her family at her side, along with her cat, Nickers. Kay was born September 6, 1942, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen "Peggy" (Pawlick) York. She graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1960. She retired from Mika Tool and Die in Auburn, where she had been office manager for 21 years. She sold real estate for Donnelly and Tarachas. Kay loved her animals, including her quarter horse stallion, The Redeemer, and her many cats. She loved to go horseback riding and spend time with her many dear friends. Surviving are her daughter, Karin (Alex Todd) Keel-Todd; six grandchildren, Kyle (Alex) Keel, Kaitlin (David) Black, Katarina Keel, Kaleb Keel, Kayla Todd and Alex (Julie) Todd Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Gavin, Luis, Arrianna, Breanna, Anthony and Hailey; her aunts, Dolores (Jerry) Walkowski, June Weirauch, and Mary Lee York; her very dear friend, Richard Mapes, and her "daughter #2" Cindy Wickman; many other dear friends. Kay received wonderful care from Covenant Harrison and also from Heartland Hospice. She was predeceased by her former husband, Robert J. Czymbor. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015, at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where her family will receive friends from 3:00 8:00 p.m. on Friday and then on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Richard Mundt will officiate with burial in the Laporte Cemetery.
