Kay Elizabeth Ballien (Davis)
Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away November 30, 2020 at HealthSource, Saginaw. Age 83 years.
The daughter of the late Evalyn (Findlay) and Maurice Davis was born August 16, 1937 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She married Philip E. Ballien on January 9, 1956. Her husband of 64 years survives her. She was an active member of her church, at Zion Lutheran, Resurrection Lutheran and currently at Ascension Lutheran Church. Kay was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1955, and worked many hours on the class reunions. She had volunteered at St. Lukes Hospital, Luther Manor and as a Girl Scout Leader. Kay enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. Most of all, she loved her family especially her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband, Philip, are three daughters and their spouses, Lori and Joe Loiacano; Elizabeth and Michael Clark; Julie and Joseph Hughes. A daughter, Janet Bain, has predeceased her. Also surviving are her son-in-law and his wife, William and Lisa Bain; ten grandchildren, Eric and Matthew Bain, Lisa Haydon, Andrew and Peter Loiacano, Jillian Clark, Andrea Kittle, Benjamin, Molly and Zachary Schneider; thirteen great grandchildren with a fourteenth on the way; three sisters and their husbands, Janet Hartle; Maureen and Ron Plaskewicz; Ruth and Richard Cunningham; a brother-in-law, Ken Ballien; many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced after the Pandemic restrictions.
