Let us celebrate the extraordinary life of Keagan Lewis Kolbe, a beloved son, brother and friend, born on a bright day in Alma, Michigan, on August 10, 2005. This beautiful soul came into our lives and, alas, on February 16, 2025, took a ride in his dream car to Heaven. Keagan may have gained his angel wings, but rest assured, he will never be forgotten!
Keagan was a remarkable person with a heart of gold, who truly loved life and everything it had to offer. His keen eye for adventure led him to work at Wash World, where he scrubbed away grime like a champion. Not one to shy away from a challenge, he tackled construction tasks with the tenacity only a true enthusiast would have, crafting pole barns as if they were his own. His coworkers adored him, and it was clear he spread positivity over everyone he met—after all, Keagan never met a stranger!
Keagan graduated from Hemlock High School; close to the towns of St. Charles and Merrill which he loved. He kept busy tinkering with cars, immersing himself in fishing adventures, and indulging in computer games. Whether cruising down the road or casting his line into a lake, he took every opportunity to enjoy the ride!
Family came first for Keagan, and his heart brimmed with love for his cherished mother and step-father, Sasha and Josh Adams. His sisters, Ariana (Alex Schempp), Amber (Krystian) Binder, and Miranda Kolbe, and his grandparents Bob and Nancy Jones. His faithful pups that were always by his side: Blue and Jynx will also greatly miss him. Keagan’s beloved dog Xena, greeted him tail wagging in Heaven, eager for a car ride with Keagan in that dream car.
And let's not overlook the many friends who gathered around him. He had a unique talent for making people feel like family, so much so that numerous friends and their families proudly adopted Keagan as one of their own. If you were ever lucky enough to share some moments with him, you surely have a favorite “Keagan story” tucked away in your heart.
Let’s celebrate the fun-loving, heartwarming essence of this remarkable young man who enriched our lives and taught us the beauty of connection and joy. A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 125 E. Saginaw St., Merrill, MI. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the wishes of the family.
