Benjamin, Kenneth E. Midland, MI Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 69 years. Ken was born April 26, 1945, in Reed City, MI to the late Charles and Maxine (Esterling) Benjamin. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Ken married Jean Sefcik on November 21, 1964; she survives him. Ken worked for Dow Chemical and was a member of Local 211 in Texas and retired from local 85. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, trapping, summers in the Upper Peninsula, and playing cards with friends. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Jean; his children, Bartt (Danielle) Benjamin and Megan (Robert Morton) Benjamin; grandchildren, Tyler and Kaden Birmingham and Kenedy Morton; siblings, Joe (Sue) Benjamin and Sam (Kathy) Benjamin; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Midland Missionary Church 479 S. 11 Mile Road in Midland. Pastor Mark Beers will officiate the service.
