Kenneth J. Petroff

Petroff, Kenneth James Bridgeport, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, peacefully passed away Friday June 7, 2013, at Bortz Medical Center in Rose City, with his loving wife by his side. Age 60 years. Son of the late Michael J. and Thelma (Hall) Petroff. Ken was born August 28, 1952 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School Class of 1970. Ken served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was an active member of the American Legion Post #22. Ken was currently employed as manager of EZ Pro Delivery. He previously worked for many years in management at Michigan Bell Telephone Company, Green Acres Golf Course, and Timbers Golf. He was also founder and owner of Petroff & Associates. On January 15, 1972 Ken married Jo Ann Efu, his wife of 41 years. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Christian and Mary (Campbell) Petroff, Carrollton; Jennifer and Jason Stevens, Saginaw; Ken is also survived by five grandchildren, whom he adored, Alexander, Noah and Brooke Petroff, and Blake and Travis Stevens; Also surviving are his siblings Michael (Lupe) Petroff, Saginaw; Steven (Kristine) Petroff, Virginia; Kathleen (Paul) Gianferrara, and Linda Propes, all of Florida; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rick and Marilyn Efu, Bentley, MI; nieces and nephews, Michael Petroff, Sarah and Erin Petroff, Stacey (Efu) Mitchell, Lisa Efu, and Keith and Samantha Efu; Ken is survived by a host of friends including special friends, Jim Bocade and Jim LaGrow; special neighbors, John and Phyllis Dorr and their family. Ken was predeceased by his grandson, Jacob Steven Petroff; a brother-in-law, Steve Efu; nieces Dolores Petroff, Monica Gianferrara; and nephews Ricky Efu and Steve Efu. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, where Ken's family will receive friends from 2:00 - 8:00 p. m. on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. James F. Krueger will officiate with burial in Spaulding Township Cemetery. Military honors will be under the auspice of the American Legion Post #22.
