Kenneth "Kenny" E. Mack of Birch Run, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. He was 80 years old. Kenneth Elliott Mack was born on April 2, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Ellsworth Charles and Marie Helen (Guy) Mack. He met the love of his life, Saundra Lue Nunnery, while working at a carnival in Detroit, Michigan. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 17, 1965. Ken was employed as a truck driver with Shipper's Dispatch and Preston Trucking for many years of loyal and dedicated service until his retirement in 1998. He absolutely loved his chosen career path and was grateful to be at home every night with his wife and children. Ken was a proud member of the Teamsters. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and golfing, as well as bowling. Ken treasured and cherished being a good grandfather, as well as being able to attend all of their school and sporting events. True to himself, Ken was an original, what you see is what you would get. He left his indelible mark in this world through his kind and tender heart, his ability to talk and communicate with anyone, and for always being truthful and opinionated.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Saundra Lue Mack of Birch Run, Michigan; two daughters and two sons: Layne (Don) Simpson of Coleman; Kena (Dwayne) Martin of Gregory; Lance (Kim) Mack of Birch Run; Derek Mack of Birch Run; daughter-in-law, Karen Mack of Gladwin; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Leo (Dorothy) DeGroat of Maple Valley; Fred (Rosie) DeGroat of Spaulding Township. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by three sons: Ricky Mack, Brian Mack, and Kenny Mack, Jr; three brothers and two sisters: Ellsworth Mack, Darwin DeGroat, Jesse Mack, JoAnn Israel, and Janet Nemeth; and parents, Ellsworth Mack and Marie and Bill Fuller.

A funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway.Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
