Our loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the age of 58 years.
Kimberly Ann was born on June 27, 1966 in Saginaw to Earl and Sharon Wright (Baier) of Cheboygan, Michigan and graduated from Buena Vista High School. Being one of five children, she made sure to not get lost in the bunch and was the absolute epitome of being a middle child, a great handful all on her own, always keeping us on our toes with her shenanigans. Born with the blondest of hair, bluest eyes and innocent smile, she is remembered as being the most beautiful of babies. She spent her working years with great joy surrounded by children helping wherever she could. Whether it be in the classroom as a teacher’s aide, in the cafeteria helping with meal preparation and even running around on the playground with the kids at recess, the kids loved knowing that Miss Kim was a part of their day in some way. She loved seeing their little imaginations come to life through play and coloring as she was a big kid at heart.
It was no secret that she was a bit of a wild child, as wild as her golden-brown locks that she tried so desperately to tame. Whether you knew her or heard through the grape vine, she was something of a spectacle and sort of her own lucky charm. She spent her life chasing one adventure after another. She was always on the hunt for a gem of a lake hidden away from all of the hustle and bustle of the busy world around. Or even on the lookout for some forgotten treasure and antiques. As long as she was surrounded by nature and could feel the sun rise on her face and watch the stars shine bright in the cool night sky, she was happy. With sand on her toes, this is where she felt the most alive.
In rebel fashion, Kimberly was the biggest Elvis fan. She was always singing and grooving around to all his jailhouse rock hits. So much so that she ensured that her children grew up with front row seats to his concerts on VHS tapes and learned all of the lyrics to sing along. Her daddy was her biggest hero and she his biggest fan. She loved watching him out show all of the young bucks on the pitcher’s mound at the softball fields yelling “that’s my dad!”. She loved being in the kitchen coming up with new concoctions, similar to how her mom cooks where sometimes everything but the kitchen sink goes into the pot. Kimberly enjoyed tending to a garden and trying to grow all sorts of vegetables. She favored a holistic approach to life and was always telling us the great benefits of nature’s bounty, all the great things turmeric could do and how nothing cured the common cold better than spoonsful of garlic, pepper and hot sauce. And boy o boy did she love her bubble baths. As hot as the water could get, it still wasn’t hot enough, and she would just soak for hours until she was an absolute prune. Those hours would bring her so much peace and clarity.
She was kind and loving to everyone she met and always dreaming up ideas on what the future had in store. Even if she didn’t have much to give, she never hesitated to help in any way that she could. For all the help that she received along life’s journey, it was her way to provide a helping hand, show her gratitude and give back. In her eyes, everyone deserved love and companionship and just the same she extended her open arms to so many kittens and dogs along the way.
Above all else, her little piece of heaven on this world was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nothing gave her more joy to see what remarkable brainiacs that they had all become. She was over the moon proud of each one of them and was grateful to be a part of their lives watching them sail off on their own adventures throughout the ocean blue more so than she could have ever dreamed.
Her presence will be greatly missed by all those that knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that she so shared and deserved. Left to keep her cherished memory alive and sweeten them through the ages just like wine, are her parents, Earl and Sharon Wright (Baier), her siblings, Susan Persinger, Celeste and David Wright, Mary Luna, her children, Alyssa (Eric) Goslin, Amanda (Scott) Earle, Anthony (Misato) Wright, six grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and so much more. She is predeceased and will be welcomed with open arms by her grandparents, Arthur and Augusta Wright (Domke), Emmett and Dorothy Baier (Kasprzak) and granddaughter, Sophie Rose Earle.
At this time, cremation has taken place, and the family will celebrate her life even more so on one last adventure in later months.
