Kirk Edward Callender

Saginaw, Michigan

Our beloved companion, father and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the age of 43 years.

Kirk was born on September 19, 1980, son of the late James and Deanna (Elzerman) Callender, in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He was a graduate of Flushing High School, Class of 1998 and played the trumpet in the marching band. Kirk’s biggest highlight of playing in the band was traveling to Europe. He was a friendly people person, who never met a stranger. Kirk used his social skills as a Customer Relations Specialist at Morley Company. He was an avid reader and very knowledgeable. Kirk enjoyed gaming, listening to music, Sci-Fi and anything Star Wars. He was very loving, with a caring heart and “Dad” sense of humor. Memories of his quick wit, comebacks and know all personality will be kept with those close to him.

Kirk is survived by his Fiancé, Kristina Kirby and their children, Audrey Grace and Finn Maxwell Callender; his former spouse and friend, Ashley (John) Heim, and two sons, Noah Anthony and Liam Alexander Callender; bonus children, Ethan and Addison; daughters, Hailey and Kayla; his sister, Nicole (Chris) Grindstaff; niece and nephew, Jin and Jade of Hampstead, NC; special friends, Cat, Dan, Mitchell and Bernie; many other special relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Anthony and Dorothy Elzerman, Ernest and Norma Callender, and uncle, Tony Elzerman.

Honoring Kirk’s wishes private services and cremation have taken place. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Kirk’s minor children C/O Kristina Kirby, via Venmo @Kristina-Kirby-22
