Kurt C. Simpson

Kurt C. Simpson Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away with his family by his side on June 2, 2018, at the age of 61 years. Kurt was born July 26, 1956, in Saginaw to the late Charles and Rita (Klemm) Simpson. He previously worked for Mid-States Bolt and Screw. He currently was employed by Drakes Bar for 16 years. Kurt enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, bowling, playing pool, horseshoes and tennis. In his youth he was a State Championship tennis player. He actively attended his childrens sporting events. He will be missed by his children, David (Jaime) Simpson, Michael (Sara Elliott) Simpson, Ashley (Joshua LaPorte) Simpson; grandchildren, Madison Gauthier and Owen Simpson; siblings, Gary (Sharon Gieger-Simpson) Simpson, Maris Lambert, Lynn (Dave Cushman) Ball; and many nieces, nephews, close family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Trudy Ann (Brewer) Simpson; brother-in-law, John Lambert; and nephew Mark Ball. The family would like to thank Big Mike for always being there for Kurt. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at W.L. Case & Company 5700 Dixie Highway with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
