Larry Adolph Bender

Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away November 19, 2023, at the age of 84. He was born June 24, 1939 in Saginaw to Adolph and Frieda Bender. Larry Graduated from Saginaw High School in 1957. Following graduation, he enlisted in the National Guard. Larry was a partner at Reinert and Bender Auto and Collision Repair in Frankenmuth until his retirement. He was an avid racecar fan, especially Nascar and always rooted for Dale Ernhardt, his favorite driver. Larry loved to drag race with his Candy Apple Red 442. He loved boating and spending time with his family.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his children Dawn, Michael, and David Bender; four grandsons: Derek, Nick, Blake and Brett; six great-grandchildren: Anthony, Derek Jr., Zayden, Max, Isabella, and Jordan; a loving brother, Vern, or Ocean Isle, N.C.; niece Stacey and nephew Matt; as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet, and a very special cousin, Paul Krauseneck.

A tribute to Larry from his niece, Stacey Bender: “The Bender-Krauseneck family has lost a beloved family member. You joined the stars and you are now released to the universe to feel no pain, sadness or worries. You have been a blessing, a wonderful son, a cherished brother, a strong father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, uncle, and friend. May you fly high and be at peace. You will always be loved.”

Per Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 3:00p.m. until 8:00p.m at W. L.
