Larry J. Monaghan

Monaghan, Larry J. Saginaw, MI Passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 62. Larry was born April 14, 1952, in Saginaw to Dorotha (Pointer) and the late James Monaghan. He married Carol Smith on September 13, 1975; she survives him. He worked for Airgas Inc. He was a long-time member of the Boy Scouts Troop 345. He enjoyed camping and doing the High Adventure with the Boy Scouts. He was fond of the outdoors especially doing his yard work. He volunteered for Crosspoint Chapel. Besides his wife Carol and mother Dorotha he is survived by his children, Michael (Sohara) Monaghan, Stacy (Paul) Hebl, and James "J.J." Monaghan; grandchildren, Sammy and Noah Monaghan, Owen and Leah Hebl; and his sister Patricia Monaghan. The family would like to thank Dr. Balcueva, the Oncology Unit at Covenant-Harrison, and the staff at Cartwright Hospice Residence for the care and compassion they provided to Larry. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Road. Pastor Rob Troutman will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
