Laura Era. Dietzel-Harris Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012. Age 98 years. The lifelong resident of Saginaw was born, January 25, 1914 the daughter of the late Laura (Reynolds) and Louis E. George. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School and married Don Edward Dietzel. He passed away in 1974. Later she married Lester S. Harris in 1983. He passed away in 1985. She retired from the W. T. Grant Company in 1975 after 42 years of service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, it's Woman's Auxiliary where she served as President for many years and Treasurer. She was a life-member of Covenant-Harrison Hospital Auxiliary; a member of the Martha Washington Chapter #113, O.E.S; Women of the Moose College of Regents; V.F.W. Post #1566 Auxiliary; American Legion Post #22 Auxiliary; Women's Life Insurance Society; Michigan Lupus Foundation; Pit and Balcony and the World War II Memorial. Surviving are a niece and goddaughter and her husband, Sallie Ann and Don Bohlen, Merrill, MI with whom she made her home. Her sister, Lillian Garrett, Saginaw; her sisters-in-law, Kay George, California; Barbara Myczkowiak; Gwyne Winiecke; Jan Harris all of Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Ronald Edward Dietzel in 1995; a grandson, a great grandson, five brothers, Robert, Verne, Lewis, William and Theodore George, two sisters, Bertha Waters and Mary Dashkovitz. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, 121 S. Harrison St. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate with officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from Noon Friday until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider First Presbyterian Church.
