Laurie passed away in Saginaw, Michigan on Monday, March 30, 2020 at the age of 57. She was born on July 19, 1962 to Robert and Janet Miotto in Wyandotte, Michigan. Laurie graduated from Wayne Memorial High School, class of 1980. She later married James Hooper on June 20, 1987, the two married in Wayne, Michigan and have spent 31 wonderful years together.

Laurie enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, shopping, painting, drawing and watching General Hospital. Above all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband James and their two daughters Brittney (Lance) Fuchs and Shelby (Darrell) Olds and her grandchildren, Levi Olds and Finley Fuchs. Laurie is also survived by her mother Janet Miotto, mother-in-law Estella "Peggy" Hooper and her siblings Robert Miotto, Cathy Miotto and Ronald Miotto as well as her nieces and nephews Amanda Sadler, Steven Sadler, Anthony Miotto, Steven Phillips, Josh Phillips, Kimberly Hooper, and Tyler Hooper.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Miotto and her step mother Mary- Anne Miotto.

Honoring Laurie’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
