Lawrence "Larry" James Trim of Hemlock
Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was 74 years old. Lawrence James Trim was born on October 28, 1948, on the family farm in St. Charles, Michigan, to the late Lawrence William and Ellen Elizabeth (Turner) Trim. He married the love of his life, Debra L. McFadden, on July 14, 1969, in a double wedding with her twin sister; she preceded him in death on February 21, 2011. The role of his lifetime was to be a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Larry was employed as an RV Technician throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. He was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church on Pretzer Road. As a young man, Larry enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards and treasured and cherished the time he spent with his family. A hard worker by nature, Larry instilled persistence, integrity, and assertiveness in his children and grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his kind and happy spirit, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many wonderful memories and stories.
Surviving are four children: Leslie Trim, Mike Trim, Belinda (Dan) Mason, and Matthew Trim; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with one on the way; three sisters: Terry Jewell, Cathy Trim, and Julie Dean.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ellen Trim; a sister, Diane Mathey.
