Lawrence passed away on March, 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family, following a lengthy illness. He was 80 years of age. Lawrence was born on December 23, 1940 to the late Albert and Irene (Wenzel) Schraeder in Midland, Michigan. He married Bernieta Bendes on August 29, 1959 in St. Charles.
Lawrence was employed with Saginaw Malleable Iron, retiring in 1997 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, farming, tractors, children and animals. Lawrence was known for being a jokester, always making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bernieta and their daughter Monica (Jamie) Bruse. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lawrence was predeceased by his siblings: Raymond Schroeder, Betty Schultz and Judy Bouliew.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
