LD Wale

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland, with his family at his side; at the age of 89 years. The son of the late Earl and Esther (Moore) Wale, LD was born November 27, 1930 in Porter Township, Midland County, Michigan. He graduated from Breckenridge High School with the Class of 1950. LD married Edna Fay Betz on March 22, 1951; she preceded him in death on November 2, 2001. He proudly served in the United States Army. LD was the master stock clerk with Dow Chemical until he retired in 1985. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its choir. He enjoyed golfing with his Tuesday morning golf league at Breckenridge Golf Course. Above all he enjoyed hunting; he especially cherished the time with his sons and grandsons, teaching them how to hunt.
Surviving are four sons and their spouses: Lynn Wale; Randy and Lynne Wale; Kevin and Jenny Wale; Rodney and Carrie Wale; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; one great-great grandchild; three sisters and one brother: Bea Emery; Lilly James, Karen and Fred Wallen; Larry and Mary Wale Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family. LD was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Anita Mudd; Dessie Fall, JB Wale, and Norma Wale.
Due to the Worldwide Health Pandemic, private service has taken place. Rev. Michael Podeszuka officiated with burial at Midland Memorial Gardens.
