Iles, Lela M. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the age of 89 years. She was born on December 23, 1924 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of the late Rollie and Rose (Herbst) Crouch. She graduated from Rock Island High School. She served in the US Navy as a Yeoman during WWII. She was an active member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was also an active member of Builders for Christ. Lela enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Elton L. Iles on October 6, 1945; he predeceased her on July 25, 2011. Surviving are four sons and their spouses, Rev. Charles and Sharyl Iles Sr., Watertown, Wisconsin; Tim and Nancy Iles, Gregg and Kris Iles, all of Saginaw, Warren and Colleen Iles, Bakersfield, California; twelve grandchildren and spouses, Charles Iles Jr., Gretchen (Kevin) Klug, Jenny (Brian) Ertman, Heidi (John) Black, Peter (Rebecca) Iles, Jodi Iles, Sarah Iles, Timothy Iles Jr., Josh (DeeDee) Iles, Nick (Beckyanne) Iles, Andrew Iles, and Warren Iles Jr.; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Yolanda Meyer of Rock Island, IL; a brother and sister-in-law: Edwin and Betty Iles, many nieces, nephews and their families. Lela was predeceased by two infant sons, Elton Jr. and Robert Iles, her sisters: Phyllis Raithel, Barbara Fritz, Katherine Boetje, a brother: Ralston Crouch, her brothers and sisters-in-law: Clarence (Carrie) Iles, Marie Iles, and Margaret (Harry) Weburg. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1020 Court Street. Rev. William Brassow will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and then at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
