Lenora Jane Laundra

Laundra, Lenora Jane Midland, Michigan Passed away in Midland at age 92. Lenora was one of 11 children born to David and Edna Doyle on October 6, 1921. She married Robert Laundra on November 1, 1941. They were together for 50 years before he preceded her in death on June 26th 1991. They spent most of their lives in the Saginaw area raising their 6 children before they retired to Evart Michigan fulfilling their retirement dream. Lenora is survived by her children Robert (Millie) Laundra, John (Kathleen) Laundra, David (Linda) Laundra, Ann Marie (Sandy) Laundra Susan (Brian) Merkle and Patrick Laundra. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 siblings. Lenora was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital in the gift shop. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and has made many friends in her later years spent at Washington Woods Apts. in Midland. The funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Fr. Dan Fox and Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with the burial in St Andrew Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday May 11, 2014 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 201 N. Miller Rd. from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. where you may join the family for a prayer service at 7:00pm. They may call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and MidMichigan Hospice.
