Richir, Leo F. Thomas Township
Passed away Monday, January 17, 1994 at his home. Age 87 years. He was born July 22, 1906 in Drocourt, France coming to the United States as an infant. He had been employed by Sonora Cabinet Company and later by Columbia Mills, retiring after more than 30 years of service. He married Marie V. Marlier April 1, 1929; she predeceased him April 28, 1989. Surviving are two daughters and one son, Bonnie M. Ruthig, Mary L. Case and her husband, Win, Leo L. Richir and his wife, Rosalie, all of Saginaw; nine grandchildren, Linda M. Hambling, John D. Ruthig, Joseph R. Ruthig, Julie Case Swieczkowski, Mary Lou Case, Susan L. Case, Kathryn J. Case, Caroline A. Case and Amy S. Case; 15 great-grandchildren; two nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Leona Richer and Mary Moskal. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 1994 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Asa T. Compton will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 3:00 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
