Leo L. Richir

Richir, Leo L. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, brother and uncle passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at the age of 76 years. Leo was born January 19, 1936 in Saginaw to the late Leo F. and Marie (Marlier) Richir. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School. He served with the U. S. Army in Korea during the Korean War. Leo had been employed by Peters Gun Shop and then by Saginaw Steering Gear for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Saginaw Field and Stream and enjoyed collecting guns. He married Rosalie DiMercurio on September 17, 1960; she survives him. Also surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Win Case; seven nieces and two nephews, Julie (Tim) Swieczkowski, Mary Lou Case and her husband, Bill Snyder; Susan Case; Kathy Case, Caroline (Leo) Orsini; Amy Case; Linda Ruthig; John and Rose Ruthig; Joe Ruthig; several grandnieces and grandnephews. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, John (Sandy) DiMercurio; and Peter (Kathy) DiMercurio. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Ruthig. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Fr. David Parsch will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
