Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away November 1, 2020. Age 76 years.
The son of the late Audrey (Foster) and Vernon James Archambault was born June 21, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from the Michigan School for the Deaf. Leon married Joyce Zimmerman, August 6, 1966. She survives him. He was a co-founder of the Tri-city Association of the Deaf and a member since 1972. He was a master craftsman specializing in woodcrafts and loved to be in the workshop
Surviving besides his wife, Joyce, are his children and their spouses,
Kathy Archambault-Zissler; Paula (Russ) Archambault; Pearl (Justin) Archambault; seven grandchildren, Christina, John, Lenny, Hope, Justin, Brandon and Brianna; three sisters, Marsha, Arlene and Mary; many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his faithful companions Trigger, Brutus, and Blaire. He was predceaed by his great-grandson Nathanial on December 18, 2018; he was also predeceased by is his siblings: Donald, Vernon “Jimmy” Jr., Karen, Leah, Virginia, Darlene, and two infant twin siblings.
The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the W. L. Case and Company, Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Pursuant to the current state orders, indoor building capacity is limited, face masks are required and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of covid-19 in our community.
