Dennings, Lester Linwood, Michigan (Formerly of Hemlock)
Was called home to Heaven by his Heavenly Father with his children by his side on October 2, 2018, age 77 years. Lester was born in Beaverton on July 6, 1941 to Lester and Rose (Manle) Dennings. On December 30, 1977, he married his wife, Jean, who predeceased him in May 2015. He worked at the former Perfection Bakery in Saginaw for 30 years before retiring in 2002.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeremy Dennings of Freeland; two daughters, Teresa (Stacy) Padget of Freeland, and Heather (Levi) OBrien of Linwood. He also leaves behind four wonderful grandchildren, Jonathon, Solomon, Elijah, and Abigail; a sister-in-law, Judy Birch of Boyne City, Michigan; a brother-in-law Gary (Bunny) Beyersdorf of Traverse City, Michigan. He also leaves behind his loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, father and mother-in-law, and a sister-in-law.The family would like to thank the staff at Linwood Residence for the excellent care that they gave Lester over the past year.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. October 5, 2018 at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church 2460 S. Fraser Road, Kawkawlin, Michigan. Pastor Larry Seafert will officiate with private burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeland. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Thursday from 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to the wishes of the family or a charity of the donors choice.
