Lewis Francis Cass

Lewis F. Cass Sun Lakes, Arizona Passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law at the age of 91 years. He was born July 19, 1923 in Bay City, Michigan. He served with the U. S. Marine Corps during WWII. He married Mary Edgar on June 5, 1948 and she survives him. He was employed by Auto Owners Insurance for forty years. Upon his retirement in 1986, he and Mary moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona where he was a member of Chandler Presbyterian Church. He was a volunteer for the Sun Lakes Sheriff's Posse, serving as commander for several years. He also volunteered for the Food Bank in Chandler, Arizona for 15 years. Lewis was predeceased by his son, Donald Cass, in 2009. Surviving besides his wife, Mary, are a son and daughter, Gerald Cass and his wife Pamela, Saginaw; Beverly Cass, Mesa, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathan, Joshua, Jessica and Danielle Cass; several nieces and nephews. Private services will take place at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Chandler, Arizona.
