Linda Sue Dickey

Linda Sue Dickey, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, in Saginaw, Michigan. Born on May 16, 1945, in Olney, Illinois to the late Bert and Jennie (Totten) Marvel, Linda's spirit touched the lives of many, encompassing joy, devotion, and an infectious zest for life.

Linda was a cherished member of the Eagles Club in Montrose and the Sons of the Legion with Post #22, where she found camaraderie and joy among friends. Her love for a good game of BINGO showcased her playful spirit, while her adventures as a snowbird brought her countless memories. Alongside her beloved husband, Robert “Candyman” Dickey, whom she married on August 27, 1988, she traveled south to Texas and Arizona, always supporting him as he raced at numerous speedways—a testament to her unwavering love and encouragement.

Above all, Linda's devotion to her family was profound and unwavering. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love through the lives of her children: Dawn Moler, Jennie (Scott) Moler, Johnny (Brenda) Moler, Robert Dickey, Richard Dickey, Bethann (Albert) Kraenzlein and April (Dobbey) Johnson. Her many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren were the pride of her heart, each one cherished deeply.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Robert, her children, and her sister, Mary Jane (Tom) Larkin. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, all of whom were graced by her compassionate presence.

Though she is no longer with us, the memory of Linda Sue Dickey will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She also joins her siblings—Bert Marvel, Carla Marvel, Delores Marvel, and Marie Dickerson—and her sisters-in-law, Loretta Nelson and Evelyn Rohn, in eternal rest. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire and comfort those left behind as they remember her bright smile and generous spirit.
