Linda Mae (Yates) Foutch of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the age of 77. Linda Mae Yates was born on May 21, 1947. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine M. (Cook) Yates, and father, James C. Yates. Linda graduated from Saginaw High School in 1965. She worked at Millet Learning Center and then retired from Pride and Country Store in Saginaw. Linda loved working with people and helping others. She enjoyed listening to Elvis and country music. Linda would often attend the Music Fest on Ojibway Island, as well as going to concerts with her friends. Her hobbies included: cross-stitching, collecting Beanie Babies, and Christmas Village sets. She loved shopping, especially antiquing, researching her ancestors, and spending time with family and friends, particularly her grandchildren. Linda supported all branches of the military and was proud to be an American.

Surviving are her children, Troy (Debbie) Foutch of Birch Run; Geraldine Foutch of Davison; Phillip (Laura) Foutch of Saline; and Brian Foutch of Gladwin; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, a brother, cousins, close friends, and neighbors.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her neighbor and friend, Joyce; the staff at Avista Nursing Home, and health care providers at Covenant Hospital’s ICU.

Honoring Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Disabled American Veterans.
