Linda Mae Ramsey

Passed away Friday, October 13, 2017, at Covenant-Cooper Hospital at the age of 70 years. Linda Windle was born in Granite, Oklahoma, on September 4, 1947, the adopted daughter of the late Joseph and Effie Mae (Murray) Windle. She obtained her bachelors degree from Fullerton University and thereafter worked as a librarian. She relocated to the State of Michigan during 1984 and for many years was a manager at an adult foster care home. Linda also taught Sunday school for several years at Tri-City Baptist Church. Linda is survived by her three children, Jennifer Chen, Tracy Hoornstra, and Stanley Hoornstra; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen Hoornstra Loranger and Nelson Loranger; and a dear close friend, Peggy Ware. She was predeceased by a sister, Carol Upchurch. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the W. L. Case Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Carl Griffus will officiate with burial later at Blumfield Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
