Passed away on March 31, 2022 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper after a long-term illness. Age 56 years.
Lional was born June 16, 1965 in Bay City, Michigan, to Maria Estela (Aguirre) and the late Cecilio Echartea. He loved music and playing guitar and enjoyed fixing cars. Lional had a love of animals, especially for his dogs Oscar and Copper. He was a very selfless, kind man; he would give the shirt off his back. Lional was honest and a hard worker.
Surviving are his longtime partner, Barbara Blake, his son, Andrew (Wendy) Echartea, two grandchildren: Vanessa and Daniel Echartea; step-children: Sarah, Paul and Beth; five step-grandchildren: Hannah, Alyssa, Timmy, Natalie and Ethan; his mother, Maria Echartea, brother Martin (Shelley) Echartea and sister Maria (Robert) Franek.
He was predeceased by a sister, Rosa Santellano.
Honoring Lional's wishes cremation has taken place. No services will be held at this time. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Diabetes Association.
