Lois M. Fischer

Fischer, Lois M. Bradenton Florida formerly of Saginaw, MI Passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 87 years. Lois was born September 4, 1925, in Saginaw to the late Raymond and Loretta (Bauknecht) Yancer. She married Donald Fischer on November 6, 1943; he predeceased her on February 1, 2005. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Bradenton, Florida. She was very active in the churches she belonged to. She belonged to a P.O.W. Group in Bradenton/Sarasota. She was a Girl Scout Leader and an avid golfer. Lois will be remembered as a very kind, generous, and patriotic person. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Kathy) Fischer of Midland, Julie (Edward) Mills of Florence, KY; daughter-in-law, Susan Fischer of Thunderbay, Ontario; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and best friends, Louise, Bib and Herb. She was predeceased by her son David R. Fischer; brother, Harold Yancer; and sister-in-law, Betty Yancer. The whole family would like to give a special thank-you to her daughter Julie Mills and her family, for their outstanding love and support during the last weeks of Lois's life. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
