Lois Martha Coulson

Passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Covenant Medical Center. Lois M. Rahn, daughter of the late Fred and Emma Rahn, was born on September 16, 1924. She married Raymond C. Coulson on April 4, 1959. He predeceased her on February 16, 1999. Lois had four brothers and a sister including Fred, Chet, Ken, Ruth and Al. She is survived by one sister, Ruth Howson, Grand Rapids and one brother, Ken Rahn, San Marcos, California. Lois was a beloved Aunt of seventeen nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews who also survive her. Lois was employed at Jacobsons on Jefferson Avenue for thirty-eight years. Her sales career began in 1948 and continued until her retirement in 1986 Lois and Raymond led a very active social life at the Germania Club. Golfing and bowling were the highlights of their week. There were Germania parties at Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years. At Easter time, Lois and Ray decorated and hid eggs for the children. Up until this week, she continued playing cards with her girl friends dating back fifty years. Lois moved to McBrite Manor (Wellspring) in recent years. She loved independent living and a new circle of friends. Lois was grateful to the many people who reached out to her in kindly ways including good friends and caregivers, Debbie Crosby and Sue Kisser. Loiss memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019, with a visitation from 9:00 - 11:00 am. at W.L. Case Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Mr. Lawrence G.
