Lois Schrader

Lois Schrader Saginaw, Michigan On February 25, 2017, the Angels gathered our loving mother in their arms and carried her home at the age of 89. She was born Lois Eleanor Cutler in Fenton, Michigan on May 29, 1927 to Eva Lux and Cecil Cutler. She grew up in Marion, Michigan. After attending Bay City Business College, she worked for the State Dept. of Social Welfare, and later for Bridgeport Schools as a secretary, retiring in 1989. Lois married Donald Schrader on June 25, 1949. She was preceded by Don as well as her siblings Doris, Luella, Norma and Russell. She is survived by her 3 children, D. Dennis (Kacey) Schrader, Julie Schrader- Gennrich and Peggy Schrader; her sister, Phyllis Wyman and Douglas Cutler. Lois loved being with her family and was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She spent many happy winters in Florida with a special friend Desmond. She will be greatly missed but the love, strength, and wisdom she shared with us will live on in our hearts and minds forever. There will be a celebration of life Friday, March 3, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State Street, Bridgeport. Pastor Ron Sinclair will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
