Arnold, Lorena B. (Hagen) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday evening, September 30, 2015, at Brookdale, at the age of 97 years. Lorena B. Wondrasch was born November 11, 1917, in Wykoff, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Marie (Miller) and Gustav Wondrasch. She came to Jackson, Michigan, as a young woman, where she met and married Harold Hagen on August 23, 1940. They made their home in Saginaw since that time. He predeceased her on November 12, 1968. She later married Ray Arnold in February of 1983, and he predeceased her on August 3, 1983. Lorena had been employed as a cook by St. Luke's Hospital for thirteen years. She was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church, Hemlock, and its Ladies Aid. She volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Shop for over 25 years. She enjoyed her extensive flower and vegetable gardens, and in retirement, she enjoyed quilting and travelling throughout the US and Europe. Surviving are five children, Ruth Uhle, California; Joann Hagen, Midland; Wanda and Michael Ciesla, Freeland; Fred Hagen, Saginaw; Jean Hagen, California; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. She was also predeceased by four sisters, Adeline Grabau, Alice Meyer, Melvina Blesener, and Ruth Wondrasch. Private committal services have taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where her family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Saturday until the time of service. Pastor Phil Bigelow will officiate.
