Lori Ann (LaFray) Woolever of Hemlock, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 55 years old. Lori Ann LaFray was born on September 2, 1966, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Larry Lee and Mary Ann (Miller) LaFray. She was a proud 1984 graduate of Eisenhower High School. Following graduation Lori attended Delta College. She met the love of her life, Theodore “Ted” Blaine Woolever, while having cocktails at the Fordney Hotel. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 13, 1990; he survives her. Lori worked as the Assistant Manager at Chase Bank for 20 years before working an additional 12 years as a Customer Service Representative at GreenStone Farm Credit Services. The role of her lifetime was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime faithful member of St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church in Hemlock. Lori and Ted enjoyed camping, especially upstate in Traverse City, where they could go wine tasting throughout the Leelanau Peninsula. Most of all, she treasured and cherished her grandchildren taking them to the local zoo, pumpkin patches, and parades. Lori will forever be remembered for her selflessness to all, her compassionate and loving heart, and for always remaining a sweet, gentle, and beautiful spirit.
Surviving are her husband of over 32 years, Ted Woolever of Hemlock; son and daughter-in-law, Tim (Emily) Woolever of St. Charles; two grandchildren: Wyatt and Hudson Woolever of St. Charles; mother, Mary LaFray of Saginaw; sister, Jennifer (Steve) Decker of James Township; brother, Larry LaFray of Davisburg; two brothers-in-law, Gary (Lisa) Woolever of Saginaw Township; Gavin (Betty) Woolever of Plant City, FL. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lee LaFray; grandparents: Jane and Bill Miller; Claude and Rose LaFray; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Helen Woolever; two uncles, Bill Miller and Pat O’Toole; and brother-in-law, Tim Woolever.
Honoring Lori’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
