Lori Jean Denter

Lori Jean Denter, LMSW, ACSW Hemlock, Michigan Lori was taken from the arms of her loving family and passed to the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the Cartwright Care Residence. Age 53 years. The daughter of Janice S. (Behler) and the late Arnold L. Denter was born May 3, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a graduate of Hemlock High School, Class of 1980; received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University and her Master's degree from Wayne State University. She was employed by Saginaw Community Mental Health Authority where she was the former Supervisor of the Family Service Unit and most recently Supervisor of the MUTT Team. She was instrumental in forming the MUTT team. She was also employed by the Covenant Crisis Center. She was Baptized and Confirmed at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Hemlock. She was always interested in furthering her education and was always up for a road trip. She touched the lives of many children and families in the area. Surviving besides her mother, Janice, are a sister and brother-in-law, Deanna and Scott Coon; a niece and nephew, Halee and Joey Coon; her uncle, Max Denter; her special friends, Patty Morse Espinoza, Cheryl Mayle; many other friends and colleagues; her pets, Mia and Baby Roy. She was predeceased by her father her grandparents. In accordance with Lori's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, Hope Lutheran Church, 1123 Walnut St. St. Charles, MI. Rev. Jason Baldwin will officiate. Friends may visit with family at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
