Lorraine Cecile Gehringer

Gehringer, Lorraine Cecile Montrose, MI Formerly of Bridgeport Passed away peacefully Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the age of 75 years. The daughter of the late Fares and Anita (Wolff) Russell was born on May 27, 1942 in Saginaw. She married James Gehringer on June 5, 1965; he predeceased her on November 18, 2015. She worked as the director of campaigns for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bridgeport. She was a lifelong member of the National Association of the Physically Handicapped serving as past president, treasurer, and secretary of the Saginaw Chapter; she served for five years as President of the Michigan Area N.A.P.H., was on the board of directors of the National N.A.P.H. Lorraine also enjoyed making crafts, but most of all, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Lisa M. Gehringer, David and his wife Kathleen Gehringer, grandchildren: Arica C. Gehringer, Alexis C. Gehringer; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth Russell; Carol Russell, Janice Hill; Judy and Bob Sleamon; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers and their spouses, Nancy and Bill Frei; Arlee and Bob Aldrich; Richard Russell; Thomas Russell; Arthur Russell; Roger Russell; Robert Russell; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dale Hill, Jack and Lila Gehringer; and JoAnn Little. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway.
