Lorraine E. Malone

Malone, Lorraine E. Fosters, Michigan Passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014, at her home, with her daughters at her side. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Fred and Cecelia (Geneske) Holbrook, Lorraine E. Holbrook was born July 29, 1926, in Fosters, Michigan, where she had resided all of her life. She married Richard Malone on November 27, 1943; he predeceased her in 1993. She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Surviving are her children, Larry and Diane Malone, Brant; Karen and Ron Warzecha, Fosters; Marcia and Ed Cramer, Saginaw; Michele and Dan Pavlicek, Birch Run; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Don Malone, Burt; Dave and Marge Malone, South Carolina; one special nephew, Dick Holbrook. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters and one brother, Helen Martuch, Irene Wolverton, and Ray Holbrook. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 7877 Bell Road, Bridgeport. Rev. Fr. Thomas McNamara will officiate with burial in Cook Cemetery, Burt. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, from 6:00 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, where a parish vigil service will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Family and friends may then gather at the church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of Mass.
