Lorraine Leona Sholtz of Brant

Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Saturday, June 17, 2023. She was 94 years old. Lorraine Leona Zeitler was born on August 5, 1928, in Merrill, Michigan, to the late Fred J. and Leona E. (Kade) Zeitler. She was a proud graduate of Merrill High School. She married William R. Sholtz in 1960; he preceded her in death on February 11, 1993. Lorraine was employed with Raymond's Clothing in Chesaning as a seamstress for over 20 years. What she loved above all things was to be a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Lorraine was a longtime and faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wheeler. She treasured and cherished her time with family, as well as fishing. Surviving are five children: Marshall, Randy, Luane, Tammy, and Fred;13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sholtz; parents, Fred and Leona Zeitler.

A Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10020 E. Monroe Road, Merrill. Pastor Michael Podeszwa will officiate. Burial will follow in Brant Township Cemetery.
