Louella A. Dorey

Louella passed away surrounded by family and friends Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Covenant Hospital. She was born September 24, 1948 in Saginaw. Louella graduated from Bridgeport in 1967. She married her lifelong soul mate Dennis Dorey on September 23, 1967 and renewed their vows on Sunday before her passing. Dennis was a lifelong engineer at General Motors Steering Gear and retired in 2001. They spent their lifetime enjoying each other's companionship and their family of animals. Louella is predeceased by her parents, Otto and Amelia Lehmann; her father-in-law Raymond Dorey; her brother-in-law Keith Dorey. Louella is survived by her husband Dennis; her mother-in-law Mary Dorey, her sister Donna (Chuck) Wellman; her sister-in-law Linda Dorey; her sister-in-law Sue Dorey; her nephew Kevin Dorey, her nephew Brian Wellman; her nephew Paul (Cathy) Wellman and various great nieces and nephews. Louella was especially thankful for the exceptional care and love from her friend Latrenda Johnson, who made life's daily tasks so much more enjoyable and manageable. Louella fought a long, dignified battle for her health and was a bright ray of sunshine in everyone's path she crossed. Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Len Wyatt will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kingston Wesleyan Church
