Passed away in his home on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022. Born on February 3rd, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Calixto Padilla Jr. & Alberta Sayan (Johnston), Louie was a graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School. Louie spent over 32 years working as a chef for Swan Valley Country Club and Crooked Creek Golf and Banquet. As deeply thoughtful man he read a wide variety of books and amassed quite the personal library throughout the years. He enjoyed writing, completing crossword puzzles, playing cards, and board games. It should also be of no surprise that he was a golfer who enjoyed the outdoors. He is remembered as being quite the character and a total “hippy.” Most importantly, Louie loved spending time with the family he so cherished and who will deeply miss him.

Louie is survived by six siblings: John (Kathy) Padilla, Joe (Victoria) Padilla, Linda (Stephen) Gaertner, Angela (Chris) Turbin, Kristina (Keith) Evans, & Venus Sayan; stepmother Dianne Padilla; six step-siblings; Brother-in-law Karl Kirn; nieces and nephews Jason (Stephanie) Geiersbach, Jennifer (Matthew) Hoffman, Jessica (Bryan) Davis, Sara (Eric) Falstad, Tanner Padilla, Michael Gaertner, Amanda (Cody) Gaertner, Candace Shaner, David Kirn, Karl Kirn , Andrea Evans, Tyler Evans, & Trista (Jordan) Astbury; as well as many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Louie was preceded in death by stepfather Donald Sayan Jr.; one stepmother; and two stepsisters.

Funeral services for Louie will take place at 4:00pm on Sunday, April 10th at W.L. Case & Co. 201 N. Miller Rd. Saginaw, with visitation preceding from 12:00pm until the time of service, and with cremation to take place afterward.
