Louis R.R. Flores

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the age of 78 years.

The son of the late Jesus and Francisca (Almaguer) Alaniz was born on December 5, 1941 in Harlingen, Texas. Louis married Josephine Ruiz on April 18, 1976; she survives him. He was a member of Harvest Assembly of God and retired as owner of Texas Latin Records, Tejano Music Promoter and Radio Announcer for WKCQ/WSAM, Fiesta Caliente Show.com and Christmas Eve program on Tejano Lipps.com, after 40 some years plus of service. He brought Tejano music to the Midwest area for the community, helped many musicians, DJ’s and people along the way, he had such a big heart and passion for helping people.

Surviving are his spouse, Josephine R. Flores; children, Robert (Susan) Galaviz, Jerry (Kelvin Gilley) Galaviz, Lois (David) McKinney, Corina (Adleno) Cunha, Louis Jr. (Rose) Flores, Francis (Chris) Evans, Ralph (Gina) Galaviz, Frankie Flores and Louisana (Bertha Davila) Flores; grandchildren, Rachel (Alex) Garza, Sean Galaviz, Alaina Galaviz, Ryleigh Galaviz; Nicole East, Aaron Christopher Ragel; Heather Flores (David DJ Spyder) Estrada, Ashly Flores (Carmelo) Sanchez, Unique Galaviz, Krystle Lynn (Brian) Morrow, Valarie Rodriquez; Rory Flores, Weston Flores; Brenda (Juan) Perez, Joana (Richard) Torrez, Jose (Amy) Lopez, Gilberto (Sabrina) Lopez, Cecilia Lopez, Maria Ibarra (Christian) Cavazos, Edith Ibarra; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Galaviz (Who let the dogs out?), Alex Jr Garza, Gabriella Garza, Xylon Estrada, Carmine Sanchez, Carley Sanchez, Selena Reycasa, Kai Morrow (That’s my boy!), Luna Morrow; Nadia Cruz, Giselle Cruz, Genni Cruz, Ariana Cruz; Oscar Salas, Ruby Perez, Samantha Perez, Zues Perez; Yelena Maldonado, Yazline Garza; Diego Lopez, Meriah Lopez, Lenyx Lopez; Gilberto Lopez Jr, Lonzo Lopez; Jayden Juarez, Syanah Juarez, Melani Jones, Adelina De La Rosa, Christian Cavazos Jr.; Anivia Ashton, Shane Boynton Jr., Mia Vasquez; great-great grandchild, Oscar Salas Jr.; siblings, Vicente (Pauline) Alaniz, Adam (Estela) Alaniz, Lisa (Ramiro) Reyna, Ezequiel (Esperanza) Alaniz, Martha (Gilbert) Perez, Abel (Linda) Alaniz. brother-in-law, Raymond Ruiz Sr., sister-in-law, Estella Garcia, also many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by children, Nora Flores, Ronnielane Flores and Jose Galaviz, brother, Jesus Alaniz Jr. and father-in-law, Rafael Ruiz

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Harvest Assembly of God, 625 S 17th Street, Saginaw, MI. Rev. Jerry Flores will officiate with private burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Pursuant to the current state orders indoor building capacity is limited, face masks and social distancing required. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to help stop the spread of covid-19 in our community.
