Louis Walter Riedy

Louis Walter Riedy Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Covenant Harrison. Age 79 years. The son of the late Edward J. and Valerie (Smith) Riedy was born December 8, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. He married Sue Nelson, September 24, 1960. She passed away October 13, 2009. He retired from General Motors, Delphi Chassis. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Church and the Saginaw Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to the casino. Surviving are two daughters, Gail Pluta; Connie (Greg) Schmidt; four grandchildren, Christopher, Sara, Ryan and Jeremy (Joy); a sister, Mary Eimers; several nieces and nephews. A sister and a brother, Patricia Doran and Edward Riedy, have predeceased him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, at St. Dominic Catholic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Church, 4735 W. Michigan, Saginaw. Rev. William Taylor will officiate. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service.
