Louise Alice Zeitler

Zeitler, Louise Alice (Dvorak) of Merrill passed away on January 26, 2022 at Bickford of Midland. Age 93. Alice was born on May 8, 1928 to Frank and Barbara (Pahl) Dvorak. She married Lloyd Zeitler on October 9, 1948 where together they owned a dairy business for many years and farmed until their retirement. They raised four children: Sue (Norm) Tompkins of Midland, Janet Zeitler of Midland, David (Pam) Zeitler of Merrill and Jill (Steve Phillippi) Zeitler of Chads Ford P.A.

Alice was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Hemlock Mi and also an avid church quilter. She was a homemaker and devoted farmer, working along side her husband. She enjoyed many special memories with her children as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be forever remembered as the family matriarch.

She will be welcomed into her heavenly home by many loved ones: Lloyd, husband of 64 years; 5 brothers: Joseph, Frank, Charles, William and Robert Dvorak, three sisters: Mary Goodspeed, Emily Kennedy and Betty Blehm. Also great granddaughter Julia Mullen. Surviving also are one brother-in-law, Elmer Blehm and one Sister in Jaw, Beverly Dvorak. In addition to her children, she is survived by five grandchildren: Brent Tompkins, Kelli (Mike) Meyer, Karri (Ben) Palmer, Brian Zeitler and April (Terri) Mullen; ten great-grandchildren: Mylah, Coy, Claire Tompkins; Payton and Morgan Palmer; Dyllan and Carter Meyer and Grace, Natalie and Paige Mullen.

Funeral service will take place at noon on Monday January 31, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church 17927 Dice Rd. Hemlock, Michigan. Rev. Paul Hauser will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw, Michigan. Visitation will be from10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral at noon on Monday at the church.
