Lugene Laverne Konsdorf

Lugene Laverne Konsdorf Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at his home. Age 83 years. The son of the late Laura (Almy) and Marshall Konsdorf was born October 13, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class or 1952. He married Betty Jean Raymond, July 13, 1957. His wife of 59 years survives him. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was employed as a welder by A.T. Ferrell, Combustion Engineering and by General Motors in Flint, retiring in 1998 with 25 years of service. He enjoyed building models. Surviving besides his wife, Betty, are a daughter, a son and their spouses, Gena and Michael Balwinski; Dean and Amanda Konsdorf; six grandchildren, Spencer Balwinski; Caroline, Alicia, Robert, Derek and Donald Konsdorf; two great grandchildren, Amaya and Elizabeth; five brothers, one sister, several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Paul Murphrey will officiate with Military honors under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 7302. Friends may call at the Chapel from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
