Lyle Grant Van-Y

Lyle Grant Van-Y, age 68, of Zilwaukee, Michigan, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. 

Lyle was born in Roscommon County, Michigan, on April 23, 1956, to the late Alonzo Palmer Van-Y and Doris Elizabeth (Lewis) Van-Y. Lyle was united in marriage with Melane Redburn on June 20, 1992. He worked at Saginaw Steering Gear for most of his career, retiring after over thirty years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to spend time with his family and adored his grandchildren.

Lyle is survived by his loving wife Melane “Mel” Van-Y; son Jason (Krista) Van-Y; two grandchildren Peyton and Willow Van-Y; two sisters and one brother Pamela (Gary) Long, Carole (Paul) Pageau, and Joseph Van-Y; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Larry, Mark, and Gregory Van-Y.

In honor of Lyle’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Heart Association.
