Lynda Marie Bonaminio of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved aunt passed away peacefully with her niece by her side on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Samaritas Senior Living in Saginaw. She was 79 years old. Linda Marie Grippen was born on October 30, 1942, in Binghamton, New York, to the late Harold and Jean (De Coste) Grippen. She married Vincent Bonaminio on February 17, 1976, by Rev. Fr. William R. Taylor in Bridgeport, Michigan; he preceded her in death on March 11, 2005. Throughout her life she enjoyed various crafts where she created many items with needle point. Lynda also held a special place in her heart for animals, especially for dogs. She will forever be remembered for her quiet and calm spirit, her kind heart, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories with her husband and family.
Surviving are three nieces and a nephew, Cherie L. Lipanovich of Avon, IN; Susan (John Rabatine) Walters of Dyer, IN; a nephew, Albert (Vicky) Walters of Crown Point, IN; Marian (Brian) Junkens of Crown Point, IN; two great-nieces: Elizabeth (Zachary) Stone of Avon, IN; Brittany Rabatine of Dyer, IN; longtime close friends: Terry and Eileen Deibert of Saginaw. Also surviving are many additional nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Bonaminio; parents, Harold and Jean Grippen; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Robert Bonaminio, William (Betty) Bonaminio, Eleanor LaBeau, Donna Walters, and Virginia (Calvin) Graham.
A graveside committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 3440 S. Washington Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw County Humane Society or Friends of the Animal Shelter of Saginaw County.
