Madalynne Ruth Ryder Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at her home. Age 95 years. She was born August 17, 1921 in Carrollton, Michigan, the daughter of the late Albert and Grace (Stuart) Stolte. She married the love of her life, Welton G. Ryder, July 27, 1940. After enjoying 54 years together, her best friend passed away on January 14, 1994. Madalynne was an active member of Bridgeport Community Church since 1952. She was a member and held every office in the Church's Ladies Guild and was a member of the church's Red Hat Society. She loved to serve, volunteer, travel, play board games and do jig saw puzzles. She always tried to keep her children safe, happy and well. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Janet and David Goodeman; Beverly and Joseph Jesselaitis, all of Bridgeport, MI; Welton J. and Bernadine Ryder, Traverse City, MI; Lynne and Rodney Bensch, Saginaw Township, MI; Diana and Richard Schultz, White Hall, MI; Wendy Casavan, Frankenmuth, MI; Robert Ryder (Kathy Ball), Saginaw, MI; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A granddaughter, Amy Goodeman, two brothers and two sisters, Albert D. and Daniel Stolte, Shirley A. Stolte and Beverly J. Arn have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St. Bridgeport. Rev. Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and then on Friday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
