Madelyn Hogan

Hogan, Madelyn Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Center at the age of 97 years. Madelyn was born April 9, 1916 in Nahma, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. The daughter of the late John and Lena (Ashinger) Sheedlo. She moved to Saginaw in 1937 where she met and married Ivan C. Hogan June 8, 1941 he predeceased her October 22, 1977. Madelyn sang in the church choir at Wadsworth Presbyterian Church, She was a member of First Assembly of God. She was an avid Christian Television follower and help support this during her shut in years. She read her Bible daily and her favorite scripture was John 14 1-3 and the 23rd Psalm. In August of 2003, she became a resident of Saginaw Senior Care & Rehab. Surviving is one sister Anna Klinger; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers Edward Sheedlo, Johnny Sheedlo, Edmund Sheedlo, Melvin and Ivan Sheedlo, Louis Sheedlo and three sisters, Adeline and Clara Sheedlo and Evelyn Swartz. Funeral service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday March 27, 2014 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.
